Morning Message of Motivation

The Compassion of Christ: 36
Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

Christ demonstrated His great compassion fo sinners, when He told the “Parable of the Prodigal Son.” Jesus’s compassion attracted sinners to hear Him. His messages were not condemnatory.
John 3:17 NKJV
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

The Jewish religious leaders ostracised and shunned sinners. On the contrary, Jesus shared fellowship with sinners.
Luke 15:1 NKJV
“Then all the tax collectors and the sinners drew near to Him to hear Him.”

This created a conflict. The Pharisees complained loudly that Jesus was eating with sinners.
Luke 15:2 NKJV
“And the Pharisees and scribes complained, saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.”

Jesus responded to their criticism with three parables. The first was the Parable of the Lost Sheep, the second was, the Parable of the Lost Coin, and the final one was the Parable of the Prodigal Son.

•The purpose of the parable of the Prodigal Son.
Christ’s purpose for giving this parable was to explain His mission on earth to save sinners.
Luke 19:10 NKJV
“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

•The main characters of this parable.
The “Parable of the Prodigal Son” has three main characters, the father, the elder son and the younger son who became the Prodigal son.

To err is human, and everyone who has ever made a mistake appreciates the opportunity for a “Second chance.”

May you have the divine opportunity to repair all past damages and mistakes. May you boldly declare your total redemption in Jesus’s name.

Morning Message of Motivation

The Family of Israel: 22
Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

Leah was disliked and treated as an intruder into the wonderful love between Jacob and Rachel. Almighty God however had great sympathy for Leah.
Genesis 29:31 KJV
“And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.”

When God saw the plight of Leah, He compensated her with children. Rachel however was barren. All the beloved wives of the patriarchs, Sarah, Rebekah and Rachel also battled against barrenness.
Genesis 29:32 NKJV
“So Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben; for she said, “The Lord has surely looked on my affliction. Now therefore, my husband will love me.”

Leah hoped she could win Jacob’s love by producing a son for him but nothing changed. Leah was still hated.
Genesis 29:33 KJV
“And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the Lord hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon”

An epic struggle was going on between the sisters for the affection of Jacob.
Genesis 29:34 NKJV
“And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.”

Leah named her first three sons according to her struggle with her sister. She gave them names that expressed her hope that Jacob would love her. It didn’t work, but Leah became pregnant again.
Genesis 29:35 NKJV
“And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise the Lord.” Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing.”

Leah stopped using her children to fight her battles. She named her fourth son “Judah” which means praise. She decided to praise God, whether her husband loved her or not.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Leah turned the battle for Jacob’s love, into the hands of the Lord.
Colossians 3:15 NKJV
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

May the peace of God that passes all understanding rule in your heart. May every power of unrest, stress and disturbance against you be destroyed in Jesus’ name.

Grace overcomes weakness: 6
by Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

Aaron produced another very common excuse that men usually give.
The excuse of “Circumstances beyond control.”
Aaron asked Moses to refrain from being angry with him, because of the circumstances he faced.
Exodus 32:22 NKJV
“So Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.”

This excuse was invalid because everyone faces common human troubles.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

All your challenging circumstances are actually under divine control.
God doesn’t allow anything to come your way which is beyond your ability to handle.
Aaron could have handled the situation in a better way.
People who give in to circumstances and situations, usually defend themselves by asking, “What else could I do?”

The Scriptures however say that God makes a way of escape.
You don’t have to fall.
King David once faced a difficult situation.
He accidentally saw something that plunged him into the greatest crisis of his life.
2 Samuel 11:2 NKJV
“Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.”

It just so happened that a very beautiful woman was having her bath in an open top outdoor bathroom.
David asked who she was.
David’s crisis began when he was informed that she was Bathsheba, the wife of one of his most loyal soldiers. He failed to control himself and the rest is history.

May you overcome every testing situation and circumstance.
May you never be be a victim of circumstances.
May you have a glorious future, in Jesus’ name.

The power of truth 1

Sunday Pulpit Series

The power of truth 1
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

What is truth?
This is the question that Pontus Pilate’ asked Jesus Christ when He was brought to him on trial.
John 18:38 NKJV
“Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”

Jesus had told Pilate, that He came to bear witness to the truth.
John 18:37 NKJV
“Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

Jesus said He had been born into this world to bear witness of the truth.
Jesus said the truth could only be known by continually hearing the word of God.
John 8:31-32 KJV
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Knowing the truth sets you free.
John 17:17 NKJV
“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”

Jesus defined “truth” as the word of God.
True worship must be according to God’s word.
John 4:24 NKJV
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Truth is very important because,
Truth sanctifies
Jesus prayed, “sanctify them by your truth.”
John 17:17.

Jesus was born to testify to the truth
“…for this cause have I come into this world, that I may testify to the truth…”
John 18:37 Paraphrase

The Father seeks worshippers in Spirit and in Truth.
Those who worship the Father must worship in Spirit and Truth
John 4:23-24.

Truth liberates from satanic bondage
The truth you know will make you free.
John 8:31-32. Paraphrase

The Word of God is truth
Thy word is truth
John 17:17.

The Sunday Pulpit Series

The Power of Truth 2
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

Spiritual truth is very different from facts.
Facts are realities in the natural realm.
Truth is reality in the spiritual realm.
Truth has power to liberate men from satanic captivity.
John 8:32 NKJV
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Living Truth.
John 14:6 NKJV
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

One of Christ’s titles is Faithful and True.
Revelation 3:14 NKJV
“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:”

Christ was outstanding in grace and truth.
John 1:14 NKJV
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Moses brought the Law but Christ brought grace (undeserved favour) and truth.
John 1:17 NKJV
“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

Those who received His truth were uplifted and promoted.
His truth overruled negative facts.
Peter had toiled all night and caught nothing, but Christ told him in the morning to cast his net into the deep.
Luke 5:5 NKJV
“But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

Fact was there was no fish in those waters at that time.
Truth, however says there is limitless fish for men of faith who obey God’s word.
Luke 5:6 NKJV
“And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.”

Truth enabled them to achieve the impossible.

Morning Message of Motivation – The New Testament 17

Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament 17
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
The New Birth is God’s own way of producing His children.
God’s plan has always been to fill this earth with His own children.
Adam was the first created son of God.
Luke traced the genealogy of Christ all the way to Adam.
The Scriptures call Adam the son of God.
Luke 3:38 ESV
“the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.”
God commanded Adam and Eve to be fruitful and fill the earth with sons of God.
Genesis 1:28 ESV
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Adam and Eve fell, but God still had a plan of redemption and salvation.
God had a plan for birthing His new family through Jesus Christ.
John 1:12 NKJV
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”
Sin entered into the world after the fall of Adam.
Man lost the nature of God, that he originally possessed.
Adam’s disobedience made all men become sinners.
Romans 5:19 NKJV
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”
God still loved mankind even in our fallen state.
John 3:16 NKJV
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
God decided to adopt us back as His children by Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 1:5 NKJV
“having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will”
God, because of His great love for us, sent Christ to recreate us to become His children again.
You are God’s child.
You are engraved in the palm of His hand.
You are the apple of God’s eye.
May God power rest on you mightily for greater exploits, in Jesus’ name.

Morning Message of Motivation – The New Testament 16

Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament 16
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
Among the simple but great truths of the New Testament is the truth of the New Birth.
The New Birth is a totally divine process whereby God removes the sinful spirit from a man and gives him a new spirit.
Ezekiel 36:26 KJV
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”
Almighty God promised to change men’s hearts and put new spirits into men.
Jeremiah spoke about the New Covenant.
Jeremiah 31:31 NKJV
“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah”
This New Covenant would differ significantly from the Old Covenant which the Israelites had flouted.
Jeremiah 31:32a NKJV
“Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers”
The big difference was that God would now inscribe His Law on the hearts of men.
Jeremiah 31:33 NKJV
“But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
Men and women would be brought into a personal relationship with Jehovah God.
Jeremiah 31:34 NKJV
“No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
God would work on the hearts of sinful men and make them new creations. The Old Covenant rites of circumcision would become irrelevant.
Galatians 6:15 NIV
“Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.”
May you walk in the blessings and benefits of the New Covenant.
May you enjoy the fruits of your labour.
May God bless the work of your hands, in Jesus’ name.

Morning Message of Motivation – The New Testament 15

Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament 15
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
Righteousness is our right standing with God.
It is God’s most vital provision for us in the New Covenant.
2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Almighty God provided Abraham with righteousness because He wanted to enter into a covenant with him. Covenant partners must be in right standing with each other.
Genesis 15:1 NKJV
“After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
Abraham was however not satisfied because he still didn’t have an heir.
Genesis 15:2 NIV
“But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”
God reassured Abraham that his own son would be his heir.
Genesis 15:4 NIV
“Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.”
The God asked him to count the stars.
Genesis 15:5 NIV
“He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
Then Abraham believed God.
Genesis 15:6 NIV
“Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.”
Abraham didn’t have the 100% good works required to become righteous before God.
However Abraham had faith.
God counted his faith to be his righteousness.
Abraham was now righteous before God.
God made a covenant with him that same day.
Genesis 15:18 NKJV
“On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying: “To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates—”
You are the righteousness of God in Christ.
You have a right standing with God.
You are God’s covenant partner.
May Almighty God supply all your need abundantly, in Jesus name.

Morning Message of Motivation – The New Testament 14

Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament 14
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
Righteousness is one of the greatest provisions of the New Testament. Righteousness is defined as having a right standing with God.
It is simply having a right relationship with God.
God is the only person qualified to determine who has a right relationship with Him.
Righteousness is determined by how God sees a person.
Colossians 1:22 NIV
“But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—”
If God sees you as righteous then you are righteous.
God has a way to make people righteous before Him, without depending on their good deeds.
Romans 4:6 NIV
“David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:”
God can credit righteousness to a person, irrespective of the persons deeds.
Abraham was the first person to benefit from this divine favour.
Romans 4:3 NIV
“What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Abraham did not become righteous because of his good deeds.
Abraham became righteous or (Right in the sight of God) because he believed God.
God credited his faith to him as righteousness.
Abraham’s faith brought him into a right standing with God.
Romans 4:5 NIV
“However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.”
This process of obtaining righteousness through faith is available to everyone, who believes in Jesus.
Romans 10:10 NKJV
“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
The Jews failed because they rejected God’s pathway to obtain righteousness.
Romans 10:3 NKJV
“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.”
You are right in the sight of God when you believe and trust Him.
You are blessed.
The Lord is not counting your sins against you.
May the door of great favour be opened to you, in Jesus name.

Morning Message of Motivation – The New Testament 13

Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament: 13
Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
There are some simple but great truths of the New Covenant that have the power to set all mankind free.
John 8:32 NKJV
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
The universal sinfulness of man.
All men have a sinful nature. This nature produces sinful acts.
Romans 3:23 NKJV
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
The sinfulness of mankind is a direct result of the fall of Adam and Eve. All men have gone astray.
Isaiah 53:6 NKJV
“All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Man cannot make himself righteous.
Most men try to live as good a life as they possibly can, but they still cannot make themselves righteous. Some men try to do more good than evil, hoping their good deeds will cancel out their evil deeds. All these efforts are futile.
Isaiah 64:6 ESV
“We have all become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”
Man needed a Saviour and Redeemer
Matthew 1:21 NKJV
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Jesus shed His own blood to redeem us.
Hebrews 9:12
“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”
Christ offers us righteousness as a gift.
2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
Christ’s salvation package is complete.
May you enjoy from Christ’s salvation table. May forgiveness, mercy and grace be yours abundantly, in Jesus’ name.
