Morning Message of Motivation

The Compassion of Christ: 14
Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

We need a proper knowledge of God’s will, before we can receive the things He has provided for us. We cannot guess the will of God, from the things that are happening or not happening.
James 4:2 NKJV
“You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.”

Apostle James, in his letter reveals some reasons why some Believers could not obtain certain promised blessings.
•Excessive dependence on carnal methods
To try to get the things they wanted, some Believers were lusting, fighting, and coveting.
Romans 8:6 NKJV
“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

James even accused them of “murder.” The apostle was referring to hatred among the brethren. Bitter infighting breeds hatred.
1 John 3:15 NKJV
“Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”

•The Believers had stopped praying.
They had quit praying and trusting God for their needs. God couldn’t give them anything because they did not ask God for anything. They didn’t have because they didn’t ask.
Matthew 7:7-8a NKJV
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives,”

God’s word is true. God is a God of faith.
Human fathers give good gifts to their children who ask them.
Matthew 7:9-10 NKJV
“Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?”

Our Heavenly Father is better than all human fathers.
Matthew 7:11 NKJV
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

God does not just give good things to those that need them. God rather gives good things to those who ask Him. If you fail to ask God for your needs, God will not supply them.
Not even one of the Israelite lepers asked God to heal them, but Naaman the Syrian came to Israel asking for his healing, and he got it.

May you have a clear revelation of the channels of ministry that almighty God has provided for you. May you not miss your visitation, in Jesus’s name.
