Morning Message of Motivation
By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
Isaac’s blessings were abundant. He blessed Jacob with dominion, supremacy and headship over nations.
Genesis 27:29a NKJV
“Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you.”
These divine words were blessings that would be manifested in the destinies of his descendants.
Jacob’s future descendants would form a nation, that would be the head and not the tail, and above and not beneath.
It is noteworthy that these two brothers were engaged in an epic struggle for inspired utterances from their father’s mouth.
Isaac was an extremely wealthy man.
Genesis 26:12-13 NKJV
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;”
Amazingly his sons Jacob and Esau were not struggling for his material goods.
They were focused solely on receiving words of blessings from Isaac’s mouth.
Isaac was not a pastor of a church, but he was an anointed patriarch.
Whatever words he spoke would be carried out for thousands of years into the future.
His words carried absolute authority even over unborn generations.
Isaac’s blessings carried far greater value to his sons, than his immense material wealth.
In contrast the “prodigal son” only wanted the material goods of his father.
Luke 15:12 NKJV
“And the younger of them said to his father, “Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood.”
He didn’t want his father’s blessing.
Luke 15:13a NKJV
“And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country,”
He disrespected his blessings, just like Esau.
Like Esau, he also later regretted his poor attitude, after he lost everything.
May you gain blessings and favour in this new season.
May everything that God has promised you, be speedily fulfilled in this year 2018, in Jesus’s name.
