Certain single solutions can completely change everything. The future of the temple building project depended on the results of a single search.
Ezra 5:17 NIV
“Now if it pleases the king, let a search be made in the royal archives of Babylon to see if King Cyrus did in fact issue a decree to rebuild this house of God in Jerusalem. Then let the king send us his decision in this matter.”

Cyrus made a proclamation to rebuild the temple, but by foresight he also wrote it down.
Ezra 1:1 NIV
“In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:”

Cyrus knew that the love he had for God was not shared by his colleagues and countrymen. He had to establish his decree in a way that future kings wouldn’t be able to change it. He had to deploy a clause in the constitution of the empire.
Daniel 6:8 NIV
“Now, O king, establish the injunction and sign the document, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and the Persians, which cannot be revoked.”

Cyrus knew the constitution of the Medo-Persian empire couldn’t be revised or changed. If a king made a law and signed it, that law could not be changed. Even the king who made the law was not allowed to change it.
This was the same law that Daniel’s enemies used to get the king to throw Daniel into the lions den, even though the king wanted to save Daniel.
Daniel 6:14 NKJV
“And the king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him.”

The king couldn’t change his own law. Daniel’s enemies reminded the king of the law.
Daniel 6:15 NKJV
“Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

May God’s decrees work in your favour as you go to church.

Samson was sliding towards a pit. His love for Philistine women had become a snare for him. Sin was growing in his life.
Samson consorted with Philistine prostitutes to satisfy his lust. He escaped unhurt because he was not emotionally tied to the Philistine harlot. Samson faced his greatest challenge when he developed a soul-tie with a Philistine woman named Delilah.
Judges 16:4 NIV
“Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah.”

Samson’s crisis happened because he became emotionally tied to Delilah.
He was in love with her and that was dangerous, first, because she was a Philistine enemy. Secondly, Delilah did not love Samson. It is dangerous to fall in love with someone who doesn’t love you and who will never love you, no matter what you do for them. You are likely to get hurt.
Thirdly, Delilah loved money. She could easily be bribed.
Judges 16:5 NIV
“The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.”

Samson was in a trap from which he could not escape. His great strength was useless against Delilah because he couldn’t fight her. He was in love with her.
Delilah accepted the contract from the five Philistine lords and started working on Samson immediately.
Judges 16:6 NIV
“So Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued.”

A popular adage says, “Love is blind.” Samson was blinded by his love for Delilah. Any neutral person would have seen that Delilah was trying to destroy him. Samson was not a fool. He chose to lie to Delilah initially.
Judges 16:7 NIV
“Samson answered her, “If anyone ties me with seven fresh bowstrings that have not been dried, I’ll become as weak as any other man.”

May God’s grace give you the strength to resist the devil. May the Lord preserve your strength. May you grow from glory to glory, in Jesus’ name.

The need of man for redemption is established beyond any reasonable doubt. Mankind’s captivity was established in various laws.
Law of sin and death
Laws are rules that are established by an authority. Laws are also enforced. The first negative law that proceeded from Adam’s sin is the law of “sin and death.”
Romans 8:2 NKJV
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

Christ created a new law to free us from the law of sin and death.
*Law of constant temptation*
Temptation is an inducement to do evil.
Romans 7:21 KJV
“I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.”

Satan deploys circumstances and situations to awaken evil desires in men and to get men to act upon such evil desires.
Matthew 4:1 KJV
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

Satan is called “the tempter” because he actively and mischievously tries to engineer circumstances to make men do evil.
Matthew 4:3 NKJV
“Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

The strength of temptation comes from evil desires, which may be active or dormant in men.
James 1:13 NKJV
“Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.”

Some people wrongly think God is behind their troubles and difficulties. The truth is that Satan the tempter seeks to exploit their weaknesses.
James 1:14 NKJV
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.”

Christ is the deliverer from all evil.
May you enjoy the full benefits of Christ’s redemption. May God’s grace and mercy fill your life with good things, in Jesus’ name.
NB: Campmeeting 2017 has started marvelously. Don’t miss Day 2.

True sonship is seen in similar characteristics, deeds and nature with your father. Jesus said these Jews were manifesting the nature of their father.
John 8:41 NKJV
“You do the deeds of your father.”
Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.”

The Jews argued that God was their father but Jesus disagreed.
John 8:42 NKJV
“Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.”

One great indicator of possessing divine life is love for all of God’s children.
1 John 3:14 NKJV
“We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.”

These Jews who claimed to be God’s children hated Christ and were plotting to kill Him.
John 8:40 NKJV
“But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.”

Their actions and attitudes did not show the character of Abraham or God. They were acting like the children of a different father.
John 8:41a NKJV
“You do the deeds of your father.”

They still protested and claimed to be children of God. Jesus then told them plainly that their Father was the devil.
John 8:44a NKJV
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning.”

Christ came to redeem mankind.
Ephesians 1:7a KJV
“In whom we have redemption;”

Christ is your Redeemer. You are redeemed by His precious blood. May you walk in total victory through Christ, in Jesus’ name.

Although they tried hard, the enemies of Israel could not stop the work on the temple. Zerubbabel and Joshua were spearheading the work with the backing of the prophets, Haggai and Zechariah.
Ezra 5:5 NKJV
“But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, so that they could not make them cease till a report could go to Darius. Then a written answer was returned concerning this matter.”

King Darius had the final say in the dispute.
The Jews told their enemies that they were rebuilding the temple that Solomon had built long ago.
Ezra 5:11 NKJV
“And thus they returned us an answer, saying: “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and completed.”

The temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar.
Ezra 5:12 NKJV
“But because our fathers provoked the God of heaven to wrath, He gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this temple and carried the people away to Babylon.”

God had forsaken His people because of their stubborn rebellion and persistent idolatry. After 70 years they were released.
The Jews claimed that Cyrus had decreed the rebuilding of the temple.
Ezra 5:13 NKJV
“However, in the first year of Cyrus king of Babylon, King Cyrus issued a decree to build this house of God.”

The enemies of the Jews did not believe that Cyrus had made any such decree. They petitioned Darius to crosscheck these claims.
Ezra 5:17 NKJV
“Now therefore, if it seems good to the king, let a search be made in the king’s treasure house, which is there in Babylon, whether it is so that a decree was issued by King Cyrus to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send us his pleasure concerning this matter.”

Darius was to base his verdict on a written decree.
May you have the backing of the word of God, as you go to church.

Some mistakes of men, bring troubles on their own houses and nations.
Proverbs 15:27 NKJV
“He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.”

Achan brought trouble upon all Israel.
Joshua dedicated Jericho to God as a kind of first fruits offering. Every precious thing in Jericho was to be given to God.
Israel was not to take any booty.
Joshua 6:18 NKJV
“And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.”

Achan disobeyed and took gold, silver and clothing, and Israel lost the next battle in a small village called Ai.
After much prayer by Joshua and the elders, God exposed Achan, by lot.
Joshua asked Achan to confess his sin.
Joshua 7:20 NKJV
“And Achan answered Joshua and said, “Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and this is what I have done:”
Achan had coveted and stolen gold and silver.
Joshua 7:21a
“When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them”

This theft of Achan directly led to Israel’s first military defeat.
Joshua 7:25 NKJV
“And Joshua said, “Why have you troubled us? The Lord will trouble you this day.” So all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire after they had stoned them with stones.”

Achan’s sin was attributed to the entire nation.
Joshua 7:11 NIV
“Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.”

Adam sinned as an individual, but he opened a door for sin and death to gain control over all his unborn descendants, because he was a representative father.
Thankfully Christ also represented the entire human race, as an atonement for our sins.

May you represent your family both born and unborn with excellence.
May your actions and decisions bring great blessings for you and all, in Jesus’ name.

Only two men have stood as representative fathers of the entire human race. A “Representative Father” is a man whose decisions, and actions affect the entire human race, including both born and unborn persons. The two representative fathers are called the “First Adam” and the “Last Adam.”
1 Corinthians 15:45 NKJV
“And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.”

The first Adam represented the entire human race so his decisions affected all men.
Romans 5:18 NKJV
“Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.”

Even those who didn’t sin the same sin as Adam were all affected.
Romans 5:14 NKJV
“Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.”

Satan’s power is called the “power of death.”
Hebrews 2:14 NKJV
“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,”

The devil is called, “him that has the power of death.”
Christ came to liberate mankind by destroying Satan and taking away his power over men.
Hebrews 2:15 NKJV
“and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”

Adam’s actions brought all of mankind under the power of sin and Satan, because he was our representative father.
Christ also is our representative Father, but He represented mankind for good and not for evil.

May you be mightily blessed by all that Jesus accomplished on our behalf. May you be healed, blessed , prospered and increased in Jesus’ name.

Morning Message of Motivation – Leadership Transitions: 28

Morning Message of Motivation

Leadership Transitions: 28
By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

Almighty God refused to give up on His fallen children.
Satan had hit mankind with a devastating blow, by enslaving man to sin and bondage.
Adam had lost, but God immediately launched His plan to save mankind.
God predicted a coming battle between “a Man” and the devil.
Genesis 3:15 NKJV
“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

God told Satan, that a woman would produce a special Seed who would bruise Satan’s head, while Satan would bruise His heel.
Satan had knocked down the first Adam, but the battle was not over.
Another “Adam” was coming into the fight.
1 Corinthians 15:45 KJV
“And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”

Jesus Christ is the “last Adam.”
The first Adam was from the earth.
The last Adam would be from heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:47 NKJV
“The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.”

Adam was made from the dust of the earth but Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost.
Satan took Christ to the pinnacle of the temple and invited Him to throw Himself down.
Satan misquoted a scripture.
Matthew 4:6 NKJV
“and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, “In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”

Satan’s quotation of the scripture was totally out of place.
Angelic protection is not promised for suicidal acts.
Christ rebuked Satan with another scripture.
Matthew 4:7 NKJV
“Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”

May you overcome the enemy always through the word of God. May you overcome all the wiles of the enemy and set a better standard for generations to come, in Jesus’ name.

Adam and Eve, discovered that they had gained nothing, but had rather incurred massive losses. They tried to make up for their losses by their own efforts.
They tried to replace the glory that covered their nakedness with fig leaves.
Genesis 3:7 NKJV
“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”

This was the beginning of human works to cover up human failings. They wore their fig leaf coats to cover their nakedness.
They no longer felt embarrassed before each other.
They thought they had solved their problem of nakedness until God came to visit them in the evening.
Genesis 3:8 NKJV
“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.”

They experienced a completely new emotion.
They had never been afraid before!
They hid from God’s presence in fear.
God called them out of their hiding place.
Genesis 3:9 NKJV
“Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

Adam explained that he was hiding in fear.
Genesis 3:10 NKJV
“So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

Adam was wearing his fig leaf coat, but he confessed he was still naked before God.
The fig leaf covering is a type of human righteousness.
It may seem enough to impress other human beings, but it is always inadequate in God’s presence.
Isaiah 64:6a NKJV
“But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;”

Only God’s righteousness can cover human inadequacies.

May you receive all that is God’s best.
May you be delivered from all emotions and attitudes that came from man’s fall, in Jesus’ name.
