Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament 9
By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
Our Lord Jesus received the witness of angels and also of John the Baptist.
He received even greater witness from the works that the Father gave Him to perform on the earth.
John 5:36 NKJV
“But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.”
The many wonders that Jesus Christ did perform, were a positive proof that God sent Him.
Nicodemus recognized this fact.
John 3:2 NKJV
“This man (Nicodemus) came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a group that was very much opposed to Christ, but he became convinced by the demonstrations of the power of God in Christ’s ministry.
Acts 2:22 NIV
“Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”
Jesus Christ received divine accreditation through the miracles which He performed.
Acts 10:38 NKJV
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
Jesus often pointed to His works to persuade doubters.
John 14:11 NKJV
“Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”
The works of Jesus were a physical proof of His relationship with the Father.
The Jews wanted Jesus to identify Himself.
John 10:24 NIV
“The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
Jesus pointed to His works.
John 10:25 NIV
“Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me,”
Jesus said His Father who lived in Him, was the one who did the works.
May you also work the works of God.
God is in you.
God is with you.
You are a winner, in Jesus name.
