Morning Message of Motivation
The New Testament 8
By Rev. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi
John the Baptist provided prophetic witness of Christ.
John 5:31-32 NKJV
“If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true.”
Jesus knew that John the Baptist was a true witness for Him.
John 5:33 NKJV
“You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth.”
John witnessed of things that God revealed to him in visions.
John 1:32 NKJV
“And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.”
John didn’t know Jesus in the natural way that we know our friends and relatives.
John 1:33 NKJV
“I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.”
God revealed Christ to John by the Holy Spirit.
John 1:34 NKJV
“And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
John’s testimony of Christ was purely supernatural.
John 1:29 NKJV
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
John’s whole mission in life, was to make Jesus known to Israel.
John 1:31 NKJV
“I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
Jesus is the Light.
John 1:6-7 NKJV
“There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.”
Jesus however had greater witnesses than John.
John 5:36 NKJV
“But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.”
May you also know who you are in Christ Jesus.
May God give you several confirmations of His purposes for your life.
May you fulfill your destiny, in Jesus’ name.
