Moses laid out both the blessing for obedience to the Law, and the curse for disobedience to the Law.
Moses also set out clearly God’s Law.
Obedience would guarantee to Israel, God’s blessings.
Disobedience would incur the curse of the Law.
Deuteronomy 30:15 NKJV
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil”
God wanted the best for His people.
He counseled His people to choose life and blessing.
Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;”
It’s wonderful to realize that you have a choice in the direction that your life goes.
You can choose to steer your life into blessings.
Your children will benefit from the right choices you make.
When you choose the path of blessing and life, you and your descendants will enjoy blessings and life.
1 Peter 3:9 NIV
“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”
In the New Testament also God reveals His plan for a good life, for all who will follow.
The plan is so simple that many miss it.
Don’t repay evil with evil.
Romans 12:19 ESV
“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Don’t insult those who insult you.
Proverbs 24:29 NIV
“Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me; I’ll pay them back for what they did.”
Rather bless those that curse you.
Luke 6:28 NKJV
“…bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.”
These principles from God. may appear too simple but they are God’s principles to enable you have a great life.
1 Peter 3:10 NKJV
“For He who would love life , and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.”
May you be lifted by these principles.
May you choose life and blessing always, in Jesus name.
