Morning Message of Motivation (The Shift: 7)

By Rev Robert Ampiah-Kwofi

The transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant involved several changes.
The priesthood was changed from the Aaron order to the Melchizedek order.
The sacrifices were changed from the blood of bulls, goats and calves and replaced by the precious Blood of Jesus.
The promises of God were also changed and better promises were introduced.
Hebrews 8:6 NKJV
“But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”

One of the most extraordinary changes was the change of the people in the covenant.
The Old Covenant was exclusively between Jehovah and the Israelites.
The New Covenant however embraces people of all nationalities.
God’s love is for all people in the world.
John 3:16 NKJV
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The Gentiles would inherit the promises of God equally with the Jews.
Ephesians 3:6 NIV
“This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.”

The Jews for thousands of years had considered themselves the only people of the true God.
The Jews felt superior to the Gentiles and truly the Gentiles were in a bad shape spiritually without Christ.
Ephesians 2:12 NIV
“Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.”

Thanks be to Jesus for bringing hope to the hopeless.
Ephesians 2:13 NIV
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Jesus.”

You are blessed.
You are a new creation.
Jesus has saved you.
May you enjoy all the benefits and blessings of God, in Jesus’ name.
